With the new semester, new games tend to start. Most games don't survive the midyear break (although it does happen), so the GM's tend to be ready and rarin' to go with new ideas.
Or sometimes the GMs want a break, and its someone else's turn to take hold of the controls and see what they can do.
Sooooooo, don't assume because there was nothing to play that you were really thrilled with last semester, there won't be anything this one.
If you want to run a game, don't forget that you have the cast resources of the MURP library to draw on to decide what game to play, or to provide background for other games. Most items can be borrowed out for a semester, unless there is a high demand for it. (And if there is a demand for the book - why aren't both people in the same game?). There are even multiple copies of several systems.
New games that will be starting this semester: Travelleresque Space Opera, Runequest, Cthulhu or Cyberpunk, and Vampire.
