X-Frogs

The X-Frogs tournament series is half way through. So far there are have been 4 different scenarios - The Hanged Man, Guns Don't Kill People, Bones Clothes in Flesh and Who's Afraid of Christopher Mannan? - and people seem to be enjoying them.

For those that don't know, the scenarios are based around a vaguely X-Files-like genre. The PCs are agents of a group that they know only as "The Agency". They are contracted to investigate various strange events around Melbourne.

The second half of Who's Afraid of Christopher Mannan? is to run on Monday 29th July, however, not playing the first half of it will probably lead to it making no sense. If anyone is enthused about playing, call me on 9888 1722 and I'll see what I can do. Other than that, watch out for the Next Exciting Episode...

Camp

This semester's camp is to be held at Portsea, Lord Mayor's Camp. It will over the weekend of the 17th of August. It is $25 for members or $35 for non-members.

This may be the last camp that we hold at Portsea, as there is an absolute maximum of 30 people at LMC. The MURP camp has grown popular enough to attract nearly 40 people - not bad given that two years ago, we had a grand total of 7.

So, if you want to come to Portsea with us, get a Camp Form, fill it in, get the Form to Aaron, and get the money to Liz. It will be on a strictly first in best dressed basis.

Roleplaying Resources on the Net

As a Monash student, you might or might not know that you have access to Netscape, through your mfsXX account and Windoze.

More importantly, using Netscape, it is possible to access quite a large number of roleplaying archives around the world, dedicated to nearly any game you might mention.

A reasonable starting location is MURP's own home page -

http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~murp/

From there, you can find information on the White Wolf games, Chaosium, Shadowrun and any other roleplaying company that maintains a presence of the WWW.

Video Nights

As with last year, Monday nights are still an event. Occasionally, there will the X-Frogs tournaments or other events, but most weeks we show videos. So if you have any videos you want to request, submit them to one of the committee when they're paying attention.
